Then you should have either some euros or a card that you know will work at the ticket machines because if you have to wait in line to buy an RER ticket, that will probably eat up too much of your time. Taking a taxi will be absolutely the wrong decision because of surface traffic. You can't waste time wandering around CDG trying to find the RER station so before you go, you would need to examine a map of CDG and look at and feel comfortable with what you will need to do and where you will need to go. That being said, I think that you could do it but it will require real planning and a willingness to skip it or turn around if things are not going well. The usual recommendation that I have seen is that you need 7 hours between flights to consider going into Paris from CDG.
